    Health XP: the medicine of the future, on tour

On 20 and 21 June, the roadshow for the 2026 Science Year, "Medicine of the Future", kicks off in Brain City Berlin. As part of the federal government's Open Day, organised by the German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt, DLR) and the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space, the "Health XP" exhibition opens at the Futurium. Admission is free.

Right by Berlin Hauptbahnhof, at the Futurium, Alexanderufer 2, 10117 Berlin, visitors can take a closer look at the medicine of the future over the weekend. Four current themes in medical research take centre stage: personalised medicine, prevention, women's health, and new approaches to cancer. Across several stations, visitors can experience first-hand how modern medicine is developed, what it can already achieve today, and what opportunities it opens up for the future.

Each research area comes with its own themed challenges in the form of games for Health XP visitors. Using their own avatar, they can navigate a digital health course and put their knowledge to the test.

About Health XP

The exhibition, which kicks off its tour in the Brain City Berlin, aims to bring the medicine of the future directly to people, for instance at marketplaces and in city centres. The interactive walkthrough shows how modern medicine already works today and what research could make possible in the future.

Interactive exhibition elements explain research in an accessible way and showcase concrete projects funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR). Visitors can explore the content independently and experience Health XP at their own pace.

The exhibition is aimed at young people aged 14 and over, as well as adults. It takes place on 20 and 21 June at the Futurium in Berlin, Alexanderufer 2. Admission is free.

The games only require a smartphone; no app is needed. Visitors without their own smartphone can borrow one free of charge on site.

After its opening weekend in Brain City Berlin, Health XP will tour across Germany until October, with stops in cities including Neubrandenburg, Oldenburg, Lüdenscheid and Ingolstadt.
