Career Week 2024: tips and information on starting a career

From 12 to 16 February, the Career Services of the universities and colleges in Berlin and Brandenburg invite you to the first joint Career Week. It is a good opportunity for students and graduates to get tips and know-how for their entry into professional life.

For many students, starting a career after university or college is not easy. Regardless of whether they want to pursue an academic career, found a start-up or join a company. This is because unclear ideas about career goals and little experience with job applications often lead to uncertainty and anxiety.

However, it is possible to learn how to assess your own chances realistically and position yourself as best as possible on the market. Career Week offers a good opportunity to do this: From 12 to 16 February 2024, the Career Services of Berlin and Brandenburg’s universities and colleges are inviting students and graduates to spend a week getting ready for their career start. They also provide an insight into their wide range of offers with various events regarding starting a career. During the taster program, interested parties can discover their strengths and talents, learn how to apply for a job with Chat GPT or how to present themselves in an elevator pitch. The five-day program also includes voice training, tips on salary negotiations and successful networking. The events are held in person and online.

Registration for the free events is done via the respective college or university. It is advisable to register quickly, as many of the events are already fully booked!
