Current technological developments in the field of life sciences, exchanges and networking will be the focus of BIONNALE on 12 May. Around 1,000 people from over 20 countries are expected to attend the largest networking event in the field of life sciences and healthcare this year.

The Brain City Berlin is one of the most important locations for the healthcare industry in Germany. This is also reflected in the field of science and research: there are around 40 life-science-related scientific institutions in and around Berlin. And the universities and higher-education institutions in the Berlin-Brandenburg metropolitan region offer around 200 courses in the field of healthcare and life sciences. Representatives from science and business in Berlin will meet people from around the world at BIONNALE, the largest networking event for the field of life sciences and healthcare in the city. The focus will be on current developments in life sciences, not to mention exchanging ideas and developing new strategic partnerships. 

More than 900 people from over 20 countries attended BIONNALE in 2019. This year, around 1,000 people from all around the globe are expected to attend. In 2021, the conference will offer scientists and business representatives visual insights into current issues and developments in the field of health sciences. Matchmaking options can also be booked and participants can look forward to presentations by technology-oriented companies and academic institutions, as well as a virtual industry exhibition. 

As part of the Speed Lecture Award young scientists will present their innovative projects and ideas to the BIONNALE audience. The top three will receive price money totally 1,800 euros. 

Closely linked to BIONNALE is the Charité BIH Entrepreneurship Summit (CBES) which will take place on 11 May 2021. This year, the focus of the CBES is on technologies that could herald a new era in medical treatment. It is free to attend BIONNALE 2021. (vdo)
