B!GRÜNDET DEMO DAY 2018: Meet Berlin startups – on 19 February at the Berlin University of the Arts

14.02.2018 | The B!GRÜNDET DEMO DAY offers a platform for innovative startups from Berlin’s universities to showcase their products and services to established businesses in person.

B!GRÜNDET is working alongside Berlin Partner for Business and Technology to launch the B!GRÜNDET DEMO DAY. The event will take place on 19.02.2018 at the Berlin University of the Arts.

The entrepreneurs’ meet-up brings together science and business: more than 25 Berlin startups will demonstrate their products and services in front of an audience with the aim of connecting them with tech companies and investors.

What is the networking event about?

The use of software and hardware for life sciences applications will be a specific thematic focus. The spectrum ranges from drone systems to an app that helps users monitor their blood sugar levels – medical technology straight out of Berlin. The innovative products will be presented to attendees in pitch talks before being showcased individually.

 

Participants can also look forward to two workshops:

 

  • Design Thinking – "Innovation Readiness" (led by Simon Springmann, launchlabs GmbH)
  • Brand Management – Points of Contact with Clients (led by Heike Brandt, Studio Brandt)

Three innovative start-ups from Berlin universities in detail:

 

3YOURMIND – Technische Universität Berlin

The Berlin Start-up 3YOURMIND founded in 2013 is a spin-off of the Technische Universität. The young company developed an enterprise-platform for software solutions and services for industrial 3D-printing. The target group includes especially DAX 30 companies and 3D-print provider. The start-up is located in Berlin, Breslau and San Francisco.

DearEmployee – Freie Universität Berlin

DearEmployee is a spin-off company founded by Dr. Amelie Wiedemann, Daniel Fodor and Henning Jakob. They developed a digital platform for health assessments of psychchological stress. The aim is to help companies to reduce absences and fluctuations. To achieve this, they use machine learning and data mining methods and carry out employee surveys, give data insights and use agile methods like workshops or consulting.

neuronut  – Humboldt University of Berlin

Neuronut develops interactive learning applications for smartphone which support children in discovering their environment. Sensors attached to the smartphone measure environmental factors and deliver the data to the learning application. The is then used by children and teachers.
